“[For the global fair], I did Russia and Ecuador. I had to do Ecuador for Spanish. But Russia, I did it because I’m Russian. It feels pretty great. I feel like I’m educating people about my homeland. I think I could have done a better job, but it’s okay. My favorite thing about Russia is honestly the people. Everyone is really welcoming, and if you come to a Russia house, they will feed you, clothe you, and give you a place to sleep. I especially love Russian old people. They’re super nice, like babushkas. They’re like “oh honey, have some food or something.a�� They always try to feed you. That’s what I miss the most: the people. Openhearted and just great people.”
