Humans of FHC: Anika Gartner
“My birthday this year was on a snow day. It was the week after the week full of snow days, and I really wanted to go to school on my birthday. I don’t know why, but I really like seeing my friends and seeing teachers. I don’t know why I like that. So I woke up very early at 5:30 a.m., and I started getting ready. Then my friend texted me ‘Happy Birthday’ then she was like, ‘We don’t have school today.’ So things went well [in] morning then our power went out. Then things went really downhill. We tried to go out for dinner, and every place was full. We went to like ten restaurants, and they all were like, ‘No. [There’s a] thirty-minute wait or an hour wait.'”
