After dominating Detroit Country Day last week Saturday, Forest Hills varsity field hockey took on Mercy High School yesterday. The Forest Hills girls played with immense speed and were able to beat Mercy 2-1. Karlijn Gorter, an exchange student from the Netherlands, led Forest Hills by scoring 2 goals for the team.

The Forest Hills team has really stepped up team play and chemistry in the second half of the season.

“Everyone played with amazing intensity; you could tell that everyone was so happy to be playing a great game,” Olivia Booth said.

With only four games remaining in the regular season, the girls are 3-7 and are looking to close out the season with an even 7-7. The Forest Hills girls play next on Friday, October 4th and will take on Pioneer High school.
