There are so many people that I wish I could tell how much I appreciate them. There are so many that I could write a book about all of them and the reasons. But now is not the time for that, instead, a time to thank some recent people who have made an impact on my life.
To Kendall–
You are forever my best friend. I know that I become distant at times, but through all of that, our friendship has never faltered. You are one of the few people I can talk to about nearly anything and I know you will value what I say. I hope you know that you can talk to me about anything as well because I will always listen. Although some friendships may struggle from being separated by schools, we still strive even though life would be thousands of times better if we did. You are such a sweet, compassionate, kind, and beautiful person and I am convinced you don’t hear it enough. I could go forever about how thankful I am for you, but I don’t have enough words.
To Lauren–
I look forward to dance to see you because you are always the brightest person in the room and can instantly lift my spirit. Your laugh is contagious, and you are such a funny person. At the same time, you are one of the most kindhearted people I have ever met. I feel like if I’m upset, you are one of the first people I would choose to reside in because you can instantly make me feel better. I always have so much fun when I am with you and you just make every situation better with your positive attitude and humor. I hope you know how much I appreciate you because I feel like I don’t make it known enough.
To Ellie–
Although we’ve always been friends, I feel like we’ve gotten considerably close in the past year and a half. You are such a funny person, which I know sounds repetitive and simple, but is honestly one of my favorite things about you. You can make everything funny and lighten times when I’m in a bad mood or anyone else is. I feel like I can talk to you and we are always on the same page, almost as if our minds are thinking the same thing. I can’t imagine what it would be like if we never became close, because it has been one of the best things to happen.
To Gavin–
I know we fight a lot, but I sincerely think that we are so much closer than other siblings. I love coming home and talking about my day and hearing all the middle school drama. I’m so thankful that I can tell you anything and not have to worry about you judging me, even though you totally do. I love watching you play hockey because I can tell how passionate you are about it, and I hope you know that even when you think it was a bad game, you always play amazing. I also love you supporting me at dance and coming to my competitions even though I can imagine they get really boring. I love your humor and your sarcasm. I hope you know even when it may seem like I despise you, I love you so much.
To my Mom–
You are my built-in best friend. You are one of the people I spend the most time with and I would choose shopping at Target with you over so many other things. I know you have a lot on your plate and that everything is very stressful for you right now, but I’m so thankful that you still have time for me to tell you about my day. I am so proud of all you have achieved and I don’t think I tell you enough. You are so comforting and can always lift my spirits when I’m down.
To my Dad–
Thank you for buying me so many things. I will hold it against you though that you recently wouldn’t bring me Starbucks at school. You are so funny, and I think the times I laugh the most are when I am with you. We have so many jokes and I love all of them. Thank you for listening to my long rants, even when you may not truly understand half of what is happening in them. You are always so comforting, and even when you drive me crazy, I will always go to you if I need a hug.
To The Central Trend staff–
This class is my favorite class of the day. All of the people are so sweet and thoughtful. I decided not to take the class in the second semester last year and I highly regretted it. When the time came to rejoin, I did without a second thought. You all are such fantastic writers and have made such an impact on my life. There are so many moments that will forever be remembered from this class and group of people.
To Addie, Ella, and Evelyn–
You three are some of the sweetest people in the world. Addie, you are so welcoming and always there for me whether it’s about something random from the day or a question about a story. Ella, you have such an amazing personality and constantly make me so much happier when I’m around you, Evelyn, you are such a funny person who always makes me laugh and although it sounds simple and inconsequential, it means so much to me. All of you are phenomenal writers and even better people.
To FHCVDT–
This team has been one of my favorite things about high school. These girls are such amazing people and dancers. I am always laughing with the team, and they make the difficult practices so much better. I am ecstatic about our upcoming season, such as the competitions, basketball games, and most importantly, nationals. We have such a close bond and I am so excited to continue to grow with the team.
To Dance Dimensions–
The studio is my second home, and I have found myself getting dropped off early and staying late just to be there more. Everyone is my family, and even the people that I may not always talk to, I still find that I can have a conversation like I do with my closest friends. I immediately give all of my dancing credit to this studio, because it is the reason I have grown and become the dancer and person I am today. I have found so much comfort within that building, and so many core memories are held there. I am forever grateful that I have and have had the opportunity to dance there.
To Mr. George–
You are such an influential person in my life. Not only do you help me academically, but you help me with life. My favorite part of my day is talking to you in the morning and in between classes. You make English so much more enjoyable and honestly learning in general. I am so happy that I get to have you as a teacher.
To Everyone else–
There are countless people I could write about, and countless words I could write about each person. I am so thankful for all of the people in my life, because all of them have helped me become who I am, and have left me with so many memories I will cherish for my life.
