To my coaches, past and present:
Coach Brad Anderson, for answering all my dumb questions and giving some of the best advice I’ve received. To Coach Noah Messner, for helping me and my boats win mini regattas in the fall and helping us become state champs. To Coach Fauson, for sticking with my injuries, complaints, and mental breakdowns. To our head coach, Coach Ross, for helping out whenever he can through all my bow-coxing mistakes, my common rule-breaking by lack of shirt, and for understanding when something goes wrong. To Coach Hannah, for making us laugh when we’re bored, for supporting us when we’re struggling, and most importantly, for helping us pull our Canada pranks on the novice. Finally, to the women’s team coaches for helping the ladies place in Canada and for helping to further our team’s skills.
To the men and women who fight to protect our freedom:
To those who serve in the army, for protecting us on land, domestic and foreign. To the marines, who protect international waters and guard us from danger in the seas. To the members of the air force, for protecting us from the air and watching over our lands. To the space force, for being prepared to defend our world from an extraterrestrial force. Finally, to our coast guard members for protecting our borders from the waters and securing our freedom from the coasts.
To the FHC boathouse:
To the place I’ve made some of my best memories, for being my favorite place in the world, and for introducing me to some of my best friends and teammates. For giving me motivation to get through the day and giving me something to look forward to. For getting me through the worst AT days, the easiest U2 days, and for hosting some of the best regattas. For allowing me and my teammates a place to hang out and a great place to improve as a person and a rower.

To Burke Walcott for giving everyone a laugh when it’s needed. To Aidan Erhardt for being a good friend even through all of his playful harassment. To Mason Coppess and Jonah Vanskiver for tolerating my antics in the boat and rowing with me through fall. To Bryce Clifford for being a great friend and always doing the right thing. To Max Reinhardt for being one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met. To Claire Busch for hanging out with us in the summer. To Addy Cousins and Hannah Levering for giving me friends I could count on when I didn’t have any at my first job. To Kaden LaJoie for being a good friend and driving me around before I got my license. To Molly Wolffis for all the random funny things they say. To Maggie Hill for being a fun person to be around. To Amelia Donald for being a hilarious WHAP and APES partner. To Henry Oxley for being a hilarious friend for as long as I can remember.
