Freshmen Volleyball dominates to go undefeated at Grand Haven
Cora Kelly, Lily VanSkiver, and the rest of the Lady Rangers freshmen volleyball team pick up 4 huge victories and take home the gold at their tournament in Grand Haven last Thursday. Even with freshmen on Varsity and JV, the Rangers still managed to fight hard until the very end and get some huge wins. It makes for a very positive outlook on their season.
The Rangers dominated the first couple games, and almost went undefeated in the early going, which gave them confidence moving forward and helped them out in the later games. In the end, when times got tough and players got tired, the team did not give up and fought their way to an undefeated record and a tournament win. The championship game was the biggest challenge they’ve faced yet. They took the championship by one game, 2-1. The Rangers went 4-0 in the tournament which is just the result they planned on.
The team looks to win some more games, trying to win as many conference games as they can. FHC even hopes to be the top dog in their conference. The Lady Rangers head to rival Forest Hills Northern before starting up some regular season conference games.
