FHC picks up another conference win against Greenville
The Rangers took on the Greenville Yellow Jackets at Legacy field. The Rangers got off the long bus ride ready to go as they jumped on the Jackets, 3-0 within the first 20 minutes. The Rangers possessed the ball almost the entire rest of the half, but could not find the twine. Elliod Kahsay had an impressive first half, scoring a beautiful chip shot right over the keeper’s head. The Jackets would not go away, however, scoring two goals of their own making it 3-2 at the half.
Coming into the second half, both teams had a tight game on their hands. Both the Rangers and Yellow Jackets were burying every chance they had. Elliod was too much for the Jacket defense, scoring a hat-trick late in the second half. A few other Rangers would find the scoring column making the final score 8-5. The Jackets had some late heroics, but the Ranger defense made a late stand to hold the strong offense push of Greenville off.
The Rangers picked up seven conference points winning two of their last three games and tying the other. They hope to keep the momentum going into another conference match against Cedar Springs.
