JV soccer works Northview to a draw
The Rangers had another OK white showdown against the Northview Wildcats and it was a good one. The Magician Micah Gschwind would start the scoring off for the Rangers early, he has been brilliant the past few weeks and has put the team on his back. The majority of the game would be the tale of two defenses, as there was not much offense. The Ranger goaltender, Alex Dellinger, was strong the whole game, staying very aggressive between the pipes.
The first half ended in a 1-0 lead for the Rangers. The second half would be no different with a serious defensive showdown. There were not many quality chances for either team until late in the half when the Rangers committed a costly penalty in their own box resulting in a PK for the Wildcats. Dellinger did all he could but the Cats would ultimately find twine and force a tie.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw and with only two games left the Rangers hopes of a conference title move further and further away. The Rangers need more involvement in the Offense, Gschwind has been strong but he will need help if the Ranger want to be successful.
