TCT’s The Countless Thanks: Day 15 – Sam Noonan

Over the 15 school days leading up to Thanksgiving, each member of The Central Trend’s staff will release a list of 5-15 people who inspire, motivate, or brighten our days. Today- Day 15- features Sam Noonan and his list of seven people who constantly enhance her day.

Noah Kingma – For always smiling, and unashamedly being yourself

Noah, you’ve been one of my best friends for years. I’ve known you for so long, and you’ve always had that goofy grin on your face. No matter what’s going on in your life, you’ve always enthusiastically greeted me whenever we see each other. You’ve never cared much about what people thought about you so long as you’re happy, and that’s something I’ve learned from and appreciate more than you know.

Gabe Schultz – For always being there for me

Growing up with someone forms a sort of unbreakable bond– one that you’ve always shown the strength of. I consider you more a brother than a friend, and you’ve always helped me through anything I’ve gone through growing up and anything that’s ever happening to me.

Brad Anderson – For teaching with passion and energy

Mr. Anderson, you’ve quickly made world history one of the most exciting classes I’ve ever taken. I look forward to second hour every single day, and your wonderfully abnormal ways of teaching have helped to push me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible. I can’t wait to continue the rest of this year in your classroom.

Ethan Tilley – For making Algebra 2 bearable

Ethan, sitting next to you for these last two months has made getting through Algebra 2 so much easier. Neither of us really ever understood what we were doing, but at least I had someone to struggle through homework with. I’m pretty sure our combined brain power is the only reason I’ve ever passed a test in that class.

Rick Lanning – For joking with me

Thank you for always making English unpredictable and making fun of me just enough, all while genuinely caring about your students at the same time. I’ll always look back at my time in your classroom fondly.

Grace Kraimer – For always being kind

Joining Model United Nation last year, I only had one person in the class that I could even consider calling a friend. You constantly helped me with anything that might have been confusing or difficult and helped me have a great time at the conferences. Thank you for urgently texting me that the crew team needed one more guy– I would’ve never joined if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for consistently being one of the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever met.
