What is your outlook on this season?
“I have a very positive outlook for this season. With a close and experienced team, we have the potential to have a winning record and win the conference and Districts. I am super excited for what the season will bring us and the challenges and opportunities we will face.”
What are some personal goals for this season?
“A personal goal of mine is to shoot at least 80% on my free throws. I was 67% from the line last year and I really hope to increase that number because they should be automatic points. I also would like to earn All Conference again.”
Why do you play basketball?
“I play basketball because I love the high pressure and intensity of it. I love the little victories throughout the game, like taking a charge and stealing the ball. There is never a dull moment or a moment of rest in the game of basketball and that is why I play.”
What is your favorite part about being on your team?
“I love the basketball team because it is a small team so we are all very close. We all get along really well and hang out in and out of the gym, which helps our team chemistry in games.”
What is your favorite memory from playing basketball at FHC?
“I have two favorite memories. Last year, for our Gold Game benefiting pediatric cancer, we beat Northern on a free throw at the end of the game. That was such an unreal feeling and something I will always remember. Also, we had a big win against Greenville in the first round of districts last year. They had beaten us twice earlier in the season and we went back and won by 10.”
What is a quote that inspires you?
“Work hard, stay focused, and understand nothing worth achieving comes easy.”
