How was last season overall?

“Last season we struggled a little bit in the beginning, but ended the season strong and finished with a good record. It was a good year for me because I was able to play on both the varsity and the JV teams, so it gave me a chance to experience both styles/paces of play and prepare for this year.”

What are some team goals this year?

“Some team goals I have are to make it further than last year, and to beat some of our large rivals such as Northern or EGR.”

Why do you play basketball?

“I play basketball because it’s very different than some of the other sports I play or have played. It’s a very fast-paced game with a lot of quick thinking involved; you’re always busy doing or thinking about your next move, and I really enjoy that.”

What is the best part about the basketball team?

“I love this team because all my teammates are incredibly nice and accepting. They’re always there to support someone when they make a mistake or have a bad game.”

What is a favorite memory from your basketball career at FHC?

“My favorite memory from FHC basketball is probably any big game I’ve been a part of. The atmosphere during a close game with a rival is unlike any other experience, and it’s something you can’t replicate outside of the game.”

What is your biggest inspiration?

“My biggest inspiration is most likely my teammates. It’s a coach’s job to yell at you and tell you what to do better, but it’s a teammates job to pick you up and boost your confidence.”
