Both FHC bowling teams fall to Caledonia
The boys and girls bowling teams had a meet against the Caledonia Fighting Scots on Tuesday night. It was a tough night for the pair of teams, with the guys falling 25-5 to Cal, and the girls falling 18-12.
Sophomore Shane Hubble led the way for the boys with scores of 155 and 116. Fellow sophomore Cope Hungerford only bowled one game for FHC, finishing with a score of 151. FHC lost the first game by a score of 791-643, giving Caledonia four overall match points. The guys dropped their second game 807-621 and allowing the Scots to sweep the two games.
Things started off on the right note for the girls as juniors Abby Summer and Zoe Guikema along with senior Alex Ghareeb led the team to a close game one win by leading 703-697. It fell apart for the Lady Rangers in the second game. Despite a strong performance from senior Kyla Souza with a 168, a couple off games did not help the Rangers in the second game loss. The team eventually feel to the Scots from other individual points being scored that were later added to the team total.
FHC would’ve faced the Cedar Springs Red Hawks tonight, but with all events being canceled due to inclement weather, the Rangers next scheduled meet is against the Northview Wildcats next week Wednesday, Dec 20th.
