How long have you wrestled for?
“I’ve wrestled for about 9 years.”
Who inspired you to start?
“My brother inspired me to wrestle. While he was competing in high school a few years ago, I came to watch him and became interested.”
What is the hardest part about wrestling? Why?
“The hardest part about wrestling is staying focused year round. At times wrestling gets tough and ominous but, it’s important to stick with it to be the most competitive possible during the winter.”
What is your method for cutting weight?
“Eating in a consistently healthy way throughout the season is the best way to make weight.”
Could you compare the individual aspect of the sport to the team? How does the team help you?
“During dual meets individuals must do their best to add as many points to their team score as possible by beating the opponent in a number of ways. The team helps me because going through difficulties during the season is easier with friends doing it right alongside you.”
What do you do in your offseason to prepare?
“I’ve been to a couple long intense summer camps and numerous off-season practices. I also often lift for wrestling and other sports.”
Do you have an awards, trophies, medals, or places you’re proud of?
“I am proud of being a district champion, regional champion, and a state qualifier. I am also proud of being a two-time black hat winner at Jrob (J Robinson Wrestling Camp).”
What is your outlook for the season?
“Hoping for a great final year and achieve a long-term objective of mine to win states.”
