What is your favorite part about skiing?
“I think my favorite part about skiing is definitely just getting to let go of everything happening and relax. It is also amazing to speed down the hill at such a high speed.”
What is a quote that inspires you?
“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”
What are some of your team goals?
“We have a few team goals; one of them is to definitely win states back to back again this year. Obviously we want to grow as a team a lot and get to be really close to one another as well.”
What are some of your personal goals for this season?
“This is my first year on ski team so I don’t really know how it is going to go. I just really want to try out the sport and see if it is a good fit for me. My main goal would probably be to improve in all aspects of my skiing by the end of this season.”
What is the hardest part about skiing?
“In my opinion, the hardest part is learning how to get around the poles when you are going at such a high speed. You have to be able turn fast enough then get ready for the next pole right around the corner. The technique part [of skiing] is very difficult but extremely important.”
What is you favorite race?
“I’d have to say the Grand Slalom because it is a lot easier and you don’t always have to worry about hitting the poles.”
