Gymnastics secures another win over Kenowa Hills
Forest Hills gymnastics continued their winning streak last night with a 137-132 victory over the Kenowa Hills Knights. While only four Rangers competed on the combined Forest Hills team, the gymnasts from FHC produced many high scores that helped lead FH to victory.
Sophomore Hannah Walters had a huge night, scoring a near perfect 9.45 out of 10 on the beam. Sophomore Lajila Hadzimujic earned herself a 7.9 on the vault, while sophomore Veronica Wagner earned an 8.5 and junior Maheen Mulligan scored an 8.4 in that event as well. Veronica also scored a 7.8 on bars, while Maheen received an 8.2 on the beam.
Forest Hills is now 2-0 in dual meets and heads to Rockford tomorrow for their next showdown. While it is not an official meet, scores are still recorded and it is a good opportunity for the gymnasts to work on their skills.
