What have you enjoyed most about the season so far? Why?
“I have enjoyed spending lots of time with the team and hanging out off the court because it is fun.”
What has the most memorable moment been?
“The most memorable moment is probably when I missed the game-winning layup against Eastern. My teammates and I will never forget it.”
What is your personal goal for the season?
“My personal goal for the season is to improve my shooting and dribbling.”
How did you start playing basketball?
“I started playing basketball when my mom signed me up for a Y league when I was four. I had fun, so I kept playing.”
What are you most looking forward to this season?
“I am looking forward to playing against Northern because we have never beat them.”
What is your favorite quote from a professional basketball player? Why?
“I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.” I like this quote because even if I mess up I need to learn from those mistakes to get better.”
What do you want to improve on this season? Why?
“I want to improve my decision making and committing fewer turnovers because each possession counts.”

Excellent article Nephew! Keep working hard, practicing and learning the game. As you get older you will see that these lessons learned through competition transcend past the sport, and into your life. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the game!
