Sport: Boys swim and dive
How long have you been swimming for?
“I have been swimming since I was 7 years old. I began at Watermark country club and then joined my club team, RAYS, and now I swim for both RAYS and Forest Hills United.”
Why do you swim?
“I swim because it’s a sport that challenges me every day but pays off in the end.”
What inspires you to swim?
“The current and past success of our team’s upperclassmen inspires me to work hard in my swimming career. “
Talk a little about your time being apart of FHC Boys Swim and Dive, this year and previous years.
“Being a part of this team is a lot of fun because you get to be a part of something that combines all three of the Forest Hills high schools. Last year was definitely challenging, learning how to balance school, swim meets, and up to 10 practices a week. This year I feel like I am used to the busy schedule, and the team as a whole is starting to come together and race to our full potential.“
What is the best part about swimming?
“The best part of swimming is the competitive aspect of the sport. Everyone wants to win at meets and practices, this makes it very exciting and challenging.”
What is a quote that inspires you?
“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.” -Michael Phelps
