JV girls basketball falls to Wyoming 44-40
On Tuesday night, the Rangers took on the Wolves of Wyoming in a back and forth battle. Unfortunately, they came up short of a victory with a final score of 44-40.
Freshman Katie Tellier led the Rangers with 12 points. Her shots were what the Rangers needed to stay in the game. Katie may have been the offensive key player, but sophomores Maizey Szczepanek and Bryn Yoder moved up the court to feed Katie. Their tough defense shut down the Wyoming Wolves offense. Although there were some questionable calls made, the Rangers were able to set up effective offensive plays to beat the Wolves’ defense.
The Rangers will take on East Grand Rapids on Thursday in another non-conference game. FHC’s defense is going to have to be airtight in order to stop the very talented Pioneer offense.
