“So far, my favorite part [of freshman year] has been adjusting to high school and getting to know what I have to do to get good grades and make new friends. I like learning how to take care of all my new responsibilities.
I did cheer in the fall, too. It was a lot of work, but I liked it a lot. It really helped me establish a sense of teamwork. Balancing both cheer and school wasn’t too hard — some nights were harder than others. I would have to work efficiently or pick and choose what to do in class. I’ve definitely become more responsible because of both cheer and high school.
