JV softball mercies Cedar Springs to take the series
After a split doubleheader Monday night, the JV softball team traveled to Cedar Springs for the final game and the series on the line. FHC won in grand fashion, mercying the Red Hawks 17-0 in 5 innings.
A stellar pitching performance from freshman Faith Addington shutout Cedar Springs, as she struck out 10 batters in her no-hitter.
On the offensive side, the Ranger bats were hot from the start. Faith, along with sophomores Caitlin Snyder, Maddy Wahl, and Val Gill tallied up multiple hits. Sophomore Jordyn Carlson, in her first game back from an injury, went .500 last night with a triple. Freshman Katie Tellier also had an outstanding night at the plate, going 4-4 with a double.
This win puts the Rangers at 10-5 (7-1) as they head into a non-conference doubleheader on Friday against rival Forest Hills Eastern.
