Varsity baseball completes sweep over Lowell with 10-0 win
The varsity baseball team completed its season sweep of Lowell last night with a 10-0 win on the road for its final conference game.
FHC started hot in the first inning to score 3 runs, and the Rangers continued to increase the lead by small increments throughout the game. Senior Miko Rodriguez led the team at the plate by going 4-4 with a walk, including a double and a homerun. Miko also led the team in RBIs with 3 and runs with 4. Seniors Matt Candela and Nate Doolittle and junior Kyle Wojczynski all added multiple hits as well.
Junior Adam Tellier got the win for the Rangers. He allowed only 4 hits and struck out 4 batters to complete the seven inning shutout. The defense behind Adam was errorless, with Nate having the most chances in the field with 5.
FHC moves to 17-6 (15-3) on the season and is currently in second place in the OK White behind Northview. The Wildcats have yet to play Forest Hills Northern, in which if the Huskies can pull out a series win, FHC and Northview will share the Conference Champions title. The Rangers will take on South Christian this Friday in a double header.
