Humans of FHC: Megan Cushman

“[Canada] was really great. I got to cox some older girls, and it was a great learning experience for me. [It was] very scary when I was over there. I was just second guessing everything that I did because it was only my first year in it, but I went in confidently because I knew that they picked me for a reason.

[Crew] has taught me that there can be a family in sports; it doesn’t have to be a segregated thing where not everyone fits in. They showed me that everyone can be part of a family. The most memorable thing about any regatta is the food because the food tent moms are goddesses, and I love them.”
