Girls varsity golf takes second at Greenville Jamboree
The girls varsity golf team went on the road with seven other teams to Bowen Lake Golf Course last night for the Greenville conference jamboree. With a total of 180 points, the Rangers came in second place behind defending State Champions Forest Hills Northern.
Junior Ally Ringler, who continues to be a bright spot for this team, led the golfers by shooting just 4 strokes over the course par, ending with a score of 39. Seniors Haley Hamill and Kayley Reynolds also had impressive scores, earning a 45 and 46, respectively.
The Rangers still are not pleased with how they are performing and look to continue to improve throughout the season in order to make it to the State Meet at the end of the year. The team’s next outing will be Wednesday in the FHN jamboree, which will be played at Egypt Valley Golf Course.
