Girls JV golf places second at Boulder Creek Jamboree
On Monday, September 17 the girls JV golf team attended a jamboree in Boulder Creek. In this outing, the team took on Belding, Mona Shores, Northern, Lowell, Cedar Springs, Northview, and Greenville. The Rangers took second out of eight teams total, adding another solid match to the books.
For this match, the girls played a scramble format, where two golfers were put together for the same score. Juniors Haisley Turnquist and Katie Bethel played together scoring a 43 overall. Freshmen duo Bela Gonzalez and Elyse Walker put up a final score of 44. For Elyse, this was her first match this season. Finally, junior Lilly Nicholas and sophomore Anna Freihofer finished with a 62.
With another solid showing from the golf team, the Rangers have yet to finish below second in any of their matches and look to continue this streak throughout the rest of the season. The girls’ next match will take place Wednesday, September 19 in Lowell.
