Girls JV field hockey falls to Chelsea High 1-0

On Saturday, September 22, the girls JV field hockey team took on Chelsea High. This game took place on the road, up in Chelsea. At the end of the match, FH ended up falling to the girls of Chelsea by a score of 1-0.

For FH, getting the offense going has been a struggle this season and this game displayed that issue. Going into the half, the girls were already down 1-0 to Chelsea and couldn’t seem to put anything up on the scoreboard. Two bright points for FH were freshman goalie Remmie Gavle who allowed only 1 point to be scored and junior Megan Raisch who had a couple of strong drives up the field.

This loss puts the season record at 2-6-2. The girls’ next game will be played here at home against the Pioneers of East Grand Rapids.
