Girls JV field hockey has a strong win against Saline 5-0

Yesterday, the JV field hockey team played against Saline High School and had possibly their best match of the season so far. FH had a very strong offensive showing, winning by a final score of 5-0.

For FH, both offense and defense came out and had an incredibly strong showing. On offense, even those who didn’t score still had a large part in putting the team in scoring position throughout the game. Junior Katharine Laage was on the ball throughout the whole game, keeping the ball in FH’s control. Junior Megan Raisch scored twice during the game, 1 goal coming from a corner shot and the other from a long drive that ended up through the goalie’s legs. Freshman Julia Brown also put 2 points on the board along with an FHE teammate who scored a single goal.

With this very strong win, the girls’ record is set at 3-7-2. They have a week-long break until next Saturday when they’ll take place in a tournament against multiple teams.
