JV volleyball keeps its winning streak alive against Lowell 2-0
Last night, the Rangers were able to keep their winning streak alive. FHC faced off against the Red Arrows of Lowell. They were able to defeat the Yellow Jackets very quickly, gaining enormous leads in both games. The Rangers finished the night strong going 2-0.
At the beginning of the match, the Rangers started the game off with an immense amount of energy; they were able to gain a 10-1 lead right away. FHC was able to gain a lead because of their serves. The only points the Red Arrows were able to get was off of the Rangers’ mistakes. The Rangers won the first set 25-11. Sophomores Lilly VanSkiver and Emma Lohr were the key players in the first game. They both had really good hits and serves that helped rack up more points for FHC. In the second set, the Rangers didn’t start with as much as a lead as they did in the first set. During the second game, the Rangers were very consistent with their hits, attacks, and serves. The Rangers won this set 25-15. Some key players in the second set were freshman Remmie Ingraham and sophomore Rachel Toole. Remmie was a very strong attacker, and Rachel had good passes and played with high energy.
The Rangers have been able to go undefeated for a majority of the season, they’ve only lost to the Huskies at the beginning of the season. This win puts the Rangers OK White Conference record as 10-1. FHC is hoping for a quick last game against the Yellow Jackets of Greenville on Thursday, October 25.
