“This is my second year on dance team. Not only is it fun, but interacting with people from the other classes that I wouldn’t interact with otherwise is a really fun experience. And then also— because I dance outside of school as well— it really helps me to push myself in different ways with dance. You kind of learn more and experience more. I’ve definitely improved as a dancer technically and also just kind of as a person in the ways that I interact in a team setting— like learning how to work with other people because it’s very different from studio dance. I have a lot of friends that I definitely wouldn’t have otherwise without the team. It’s just kind of a couple hours of my day a few times a week that I really look forward to just because of the people there.”
