“[Trying out for musical] was an interesting experience because I never was part of musical or plays at my old school; this is the first time [I’ve done anything like this]. This school is very flexible with new students, and I like it very much more here than my old school. I was always interested in being in theatre, and support from friends saying I was good at singing [prompted me to try out]. I wasn’t expecting to get in. I just thought it would be a good experience to audition. [If I could give advice to other people trying new things, I would say] it’s okay to be nervous, but don’t let that hold you back.”
