Ally Ringler leads girls varsity golf to another top 2 finish at Ottawa Hills Jamboree
The girls varsity golf team continued its streak of top 2 finishes yesterday at Indian Trails for the Ottawa Hills Jamboree. At this outing, the team played very well yet again, finishing in second place. Out of 8 teams participating in the event, the team trailed only to FHN.
The whole team was on its game during this match. Five golfers finished with scores under 50, with senior Ally Ringler leading the way at 41. Ally was followed up by junior Maddie Knoor, who shot a 43 and junior Taylor Baumgardner, who finished with 44. Seniors Ivana Webb, Mandy Ehrlich, and Kaitlyn Bethel were reliable for the team, accomplishing scores of 46, 47, and 51, respectively.
With this superb performance, the team proved that its first two events were no flukes. As it looks towards a continuation of its recent success, the team will be focusing on its next event at the Lowell Jamboree.
