Girls JV field hockey team achieves 4-0 win against Novi
The girls JV Purple field hockey team emerged victorious from its encounter yesterday against Novi, 4-0. Just like when the JV White team played against Dexter, the defense was one of the main factors of success. Unlike the last outing, however, the offense was the name of the game for the team.
Forest Hills utilized its skilled passing to set themselves up for many goals. Leading the scoring for the team was freshman Katy Stevenson, who scored a pair of goals and represented the Rangers on the JV purple team. Freshman Mackenzie Wintrich was another Ranger who scored, while freshman Alexis Neumen from Rockford completed the scoring spectacle for the team. The defense acted as a wall, rarely allowing Novi to even venture into the attacking half of the field.
After this win, the JV purple team matches the record of the JV white team: both are now at 2-1. With both the offense and the defense at the top of their respective games, this JV purple team does not look to be slowed down anytime soon. The team’s next game will be on Saturday, September 9th at home on the lower turf.
