Mandy Ehrlich propels girls varsity golf to second place at FHN Jamboree
For what is now a historic 7th time in a row, the girls varsity golf team has earned itself another second-place finish. This time, it was at Egypt Valley when they participated in the FHN Jamboree. The team finished with a remarkable score of 181; the girls were 14 strokes off of first-place FHN. They ended 10 strokes above third-place Lowell, who finished at 191.
For senior Mandy Ehrlich, this outing proved to be a spectacle for her. By shooting an impeccable score of 37, Mandy finished as a medalist for the Rangers. She was closely followed up by senior Ally Ringler who played very well and ended up shooting a 42. Not far behind was junior Maddie Knoor and senior Kaitlyn Bethel. Maddie concluded with a score of 50 while Kaitlyn achieved a score of 52. Other notable performances from the girls were from senior Ivana Webb, who scored a 58, and junior Taylor Baumgardner, who ended with a score of 61.
These persistent second-place finishes demonstrate just how consistent the team is this year. As the Rangers keep gaining experience, they will be looking towards their next event, which is at the Kenowa Hills Johnson Classic on September 13th.
