FHC cross country teams finish fifth and sixth at the Cougar Falcon Invite
Yesterday, the FHC Cross Country teams competed in the Cougar Falcon Invite, with both teams placing well. The girls placed fifth out of ten schools, and the boys placed sixth out of eleven schools. It was another humid day, but this course was a true cross country course that consisted mainly of small hills and the correct terrain. Overall, the teams thought this was a quick course and finished with great times.
Senior Gabe Carlson once again led the boys team, finishing in third place with a time of 16:30.7. The second runner for the boys was sophomore Sam Yeager, coming in with a time of 17:41.3. Freshman Ethan Krampe excelled yesterday. He was FHC’s third-best runner, finishing only 18 seconds behind Sam with a time of 17:59.8.
For the girls, Junior Whitney Currie was the lead runner. She finished in eighth place out of 82 runners with a time of 19:37.9. Senior Nicole Marco came in behind Whitney, finishing with a time of 20:51.17. The third best runner for the girls was senior Ally Francisco, who ran a time of 21:22.9.
