Ally Ringler leads girls varsity golf to second-place finish at Northview Jamboree
The girls varsity golf team participated in the Northview Jamboree yesterday, and the girls came away with another second-place finish. The team has not dropped below second place in all 11 events this season. Three of the girls finished with scores below 50 en route to the exceptional team finish.
The Rangers finished with a team score of 173, which placed only 8 strokes behind FHN’s score of 165. Trailing 25 shots behind the girls was Greenville, who finished at 198. Lowell shot 201 as a team and rounded out the top half of the results.
Senior Ally Ringler was the driving force for the Rangers; she finished with a phenomenal score of 40, and one stroke off from that score was fellow senior Mandy Ehrlich, who shot a 41. The other sub-50 score from the team was achieved by junior Maddie Knoor. Finishing behind Maddie was junior Taylor Baumgardner, as well as seniors Haisley Turnquist and Ivana Webb. Taylor shot a 50, while Haisley finished at 57, and Ivana finished with a 63.
This marked another incredible outing by the Rangers. The girls will be looking to their next event, which will be the Ernie Popel Memorial hosted by FHN on September 30th.
