Girls JV field hockey concludes regular season with 2-0 victory over Hartland

After a very successful stretch where the girls JV purple field hockey team combined with the JV white team, the JV purple team played its most recent match without the JV white team and achieved a 2-0 victory over Hartland. This is the 3rd straight shut-out from the girls, and they haven’t lost any of their last seven matches following this win.

The two goals were split between the two halves; the first goal was scored by FHN freshman Abigail Almassian, while the second-half goal was scored after fellow FHN freshman Raven Kincaid passed the ball off of the opposing goalie’s pads to FHC freshman Katy Stevenson, who shot the ball into the back of the net. The goalie for the JV team—FHN junior Eliana McGlinchey—held the Hartland team scoreless throughout the battle, adding to her multiple shutouts on the season. Although the team had already built up an insurmountable lead, the girls were not satisfied with only two goals, though they weren’t able to score again after many more shots on goal.

After another successful outing by this JV team, it has wrapped up its regular season, and the girls are now focused on the postseason. The postseason for the team will start on Saturday, October 12th when the girls will travel to Dexter for the JV Tournament.
