Girls varsity golf delves further into postseason with second-place finish at Regionals
The girls varsity golf team further excelled its postseason performance thus far with another second-place finish at Regionals. The girls played well in their second postseason event and look to continue their season after putting up an exceptional team score of 361 over the 18-hole round.
Three Ranger golfers finished with scores under 90: senior Mandy Ehrlich, senior Ally Ringler, and junior Maddie Knoor finished with scores of 86, 86, and 89, respectively. More impressive performances came from the rest of the team; concluding the scoring for the Rangers was junior Ava Metaj and fellow junior Taylor Baumgardner. Ava ended with a score of 100, while Taylor finished with a final stroke count of 108.
The girls are yet to waver under second place this season, and they hope to build off of this streak and look towards a first-place finish at States, their next event.
