JV Volleyball takes second in the Hudsonville JV Invite
The FHC JV Volleyball team played in the Hudsonville JV Invite on Saturday, October 12th. The girls made it into the finals of the tournament against Hudsonville, losing in a hard-fought battle. The Rangers started off a bit slow in the morning, but as the day progressed, they started to work together more as a team.
In the morning pool play, the Rangers played West Ottawa and Rockford. Sadly, the girls lost in both games. Later in the day, they were able to redeem themselves by beating Grandville and West Ottawa in bracket play. With these two wins, the Rangers were able to advance into the finals against Hudsonville. FHC’s day ended there, with the girls taking second behind Hudsonville.
“Overall, the team played well, and I was proud of the second-place finish in the tournament,” head coach Natalie Roelfzema said.
The next game for the girls is on Tuesday, October 15th at Cedar Springs at 5:00 PM.
