FHC Bowling Team Loses a Heartbreaker to Greenville 1,804-1,761
Tommy Payne led the way for the FHC bowling team on Wednesday with a score of 224 and 226 in both games on Wednesday at Greenville but ended up falling short of the win. FHC fought to the end but ended up losing a great match in with a close score of 1,761-1,804.
FHC came into this match after a long winter break, ready and refreshed to get their 2nd win of the season.
“We started out slow out of the gates.” Coach Grant Vermeer said, “We made a good comeback though, but couldn’t hold off Greenville in game 2.”
Some other standout performers of the night were Ben Kastner with a 196 in game 1 and a 172 in game 2. These games would come down to the wire, but in the last couple of frames, Greenville was able to pull away with a clutch performance in the Baker games at the end to seal a victory.
FHC’s next meet is on Wednesday, January 22, against Northview at home.
