Varsity gymnastics finds success against Rockford

Last night, the Forest Hills varsity gymnastics team competed against Rockford. FHC senior Hannah Walters and FHN junior Kylie McGinnis led the team to achieve an impressive score of 140.4. Even though the team took three falls in this meet, they persevered and still reached a high score.

Rockford is a very talented team to compete against, so the girls just focused on their own performances and made sure to achieve the best scores that they could. The girls had fun during this meet and didn’t let the stress of scoring well get to them. Last night, they learned a few things that they needed to do to achieve an even better score and that even though they only have seven girls compared to Rockford’s 18, they did very well.

The next meet for the girls is on Wednesday, January 22nd at 7:00 PM at Kenowa Hills High School.
