Gymnastics gets a win over Kenowa Hills
The Forest Hills Gymnastics team took a victory this week against Kenowa Hills with a score of 139.975. Even though the judges gave much lower scores to the girls this week, all of the girls felt that they performed extremely well and pulled out the victory.
During this meet, there were many outstanding performances by all of the girls. FHC freshman Lauren Wolffis had one of the best bar routines all season, and FHC seniors Hannah Walters and Olivia Jeong also did well on the beam, allowing the team to achieve a high overall beam score. This week, they had set a goal to have less falls on the beam routine; they only had two falls against Kenowa. FHN senior Hannah Biesbrock also had her first meet back from a concussion, and she did amazing in her routines, stunning the crowd.
“This meet helped us to prepare for the invitational at Kenowa this weekend and get a good feel for their equipment on each apparatus, where we hope to be successful and place high as a team,” Olivia said.
Coming up next for the girls is the Kenowa Hills invite on Saturday, January 25th at 10:00 AM at Kenowa Hills.
