Boys JV Basketball bounces back from 4OT loss with 65-41 win over FHN

On Thursday, the boys JV Basketball team faced off against the Rangers’ crosstown rival: the Forest Hills Northern Huskies. This game is always one of the most exciting and toughest of the season, and the boys were fully prepared to take on the Huskies. The Rangers pulled out a great win and beat FHN by a score of 65-41.

In this game, the start was the key to success. The boys started out with great energy, gaining the lead in the early minutes. They knew how they had to play and went for it. Sophomores Jacob Bonnett and Ben Scholler lead the team on both offense and defense, encouraging their team to continue playing hard. Rhosias Arius also had a great game; late in the game, he had a rebound putback that put away the game for good. It was a great game and a great win over the Huskies.

“Moving forward, we need to stay focused and continue to have that ‘look in our eyes’,” head coach Jordan George said.

The next game for the boys is on Thursday, January 30th against East Grand Rapids at 5:30 PM at EGR.
