Boys JV Basketball wins conference championship with 76-56 win over FHN

Sophomores Jacob Bonnett and Ben Scholler lead their team to the conference championship victory against Forest Hills Northern on Thursday. The boys started this game off a bit slow, but Jacob and Ben were there to encourage their teammates and to keep them on their toes. The boys defeated FHN with a nice 20-point victory of 76-56.

Jacob led the team on offense, continuing to drive down the court and catching the Huskies on their heels, while Ben did a great job leading the team on defense. Sophomore Joe Seurynck was also a huge difference-maker during this game; he had some big rebounds and outlet passes, and he also had a really nice and-one reverse layup. The boys did a great job during this game and earned a well-deserved celebration after the final buzzer of the game went off.

“I couldn’t be more proud of these guys, and I’m proud that they can call themselves conference champions this year,” head coach Jordan George said.

The next game for the boys is on Thursday, February 27th at 5:30 at home against Northview.
