Girls JV Golf narrowly falls to Greenville 230-214
On Wednesday, the girls JV golf team couldn’t get a win against Greenville at Glen Kerry Golf Course. Although, the lone sophomore on the team, Serena Thiede, did have help from the freshmen, despite the loss.
“The freshmen have been playing really well, and by the end of the season, they will be ready for varsity at this rate,” Serena said.
The team’s sixth loss of the season wasn’t how they were expecting to start, but they are getting better each week. Although it was not the outcome the girls wanted, it was still a big confidence booster for the girls.
“Although we have not had the start we wanted, we have been getting better and better every week,” freshman Kiera Kemppainen said.
Kiera also emphasized how important Serena has been for the team this year saying, “she has been our best player this year and has brought a lot of experience and passion to the team.”
The team’s next matchup is against Lowell on Monday at 3:45 as they will try to improve their 2-6 record to 3-6.
