Girls golf finishes fifth at Thousand Oaks
The girls varsity golf team placed fifth at Thousand Oaks on Tuesday. Freshman Skyler Tierney and Senior Maddie Knoor continue to post respectable scores for the Rangers. Both Skyler and Maddie entered the clubhouse with a score of 41. Senior Taylor Baumgardner placed third on the team with a 50.
“Overall I am pleased with how our team preformed today,” said Taylor. “Compared to our last match we improved by four strokes which is good.”
The girls’ next match is Wednesday, October 1, at Thornapple Point for the Conference tournament.
“The girls are continuing to work on their short games to give us the best shot at conferences,” said head coach Paul Teneyck.
