Ashlyn Fitch – Musical Q&A

Ashlyn Fitch

Role: Crystal

What are you most excited about?

“I am most excited about sharing this story with the school and community because I know a lot of people are not familiar with it! I love that nobody really knows these characters so we can develop them however we choose!”

What makes you fit your role so well?

“I think that what makes me fit this role is how I look, how my voice sounds, and how I interact with the other doo-wop girls, Sutton and Amanda. Each of our roles is an individual character, but in order to really make each one good, we have to work well with each other.”

What is your favorite part about being involved in the musical?

“Everything about being a part of musical is absolutely incredible! I love meeting new people and getting to know old friends better! It’s just so much fun! I look forward to it every day after school!”

What should the audience be excited for?

“I think everyone should get really excited for the music in this show!! It is so fun and different than anything that FHC has done in a while! The story is also something to look forward to because it has lots of plot twists throughout both act one and act two!”

What is your favorite part of your role?

“I love how sassy Crystal is. She’s such a diva and loves being the center of attention which has been really fun to try and develop!”

What similarities are there between you and your character?

“I think we are both very driven. When we want something, we go after it until we get it. I also just love how fun and outgoing she is!”

What other activities/clubs do you participate in besides theater?

“I dance, play piano, and take voice lessons! I want to pursue musical theater as a career in the future so I spend most of my time working towards that goal!”

Do you think theater has affected your overall high school experience? Why or why not?

“For sure!! I love feeling a part of something at school and it has been one of the highlights of my high school experience! It allows me to meet so many great people and make really great memories!”
