Going out to lunch with friends is one of my favorite things to do, but finding the right place to go to is always a struggle. About a week ago, a friend and I decided to grab lunch together after leaving school. My friend and I both wanted something that wasn’t going to be too expensive, and we wanted to eat somewhere that we don’t frequently go. We both had numerous suggestions, but nothing sounded good that particular day. Finally, my friend suggested we go to Schnitz Deli for sandwiches. I am not really someone who is fond of sandwiches, but I agreed for the sake of saving time and decision-making.

Schnitz Deli is on the second floor of a building in Downtown Ada, so in order to get to the restaurant, you have to climb a set of stairs. After arriving at the second floor of the building, I learned that at the lunch hour, you order off of the large menu posted above the kitchen area and walk up to the counter to place your order. It is pretty informal, but very fitting for the time of day we were there and the type of food they serve.

Because of my lack of taste for sandwiches, I struggled for a while, but finally decided on getting a grilled cheese with fries. My friend ordered the club sandwich. After paying at the counter, we received a number, then sat ourselves at a booth. Our food came out after a reasonable waiting time, allowing us to get comfortable and have a conversation before eating. When our sandwiches were delivered, we immediately began to enjoy. I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled cheese, as simple as it is, and my friend was very impressed with her club sandwich. The portions were very large, so she actually ended up taking the other half home with her to enjoy at a later time.

Schnitz Deli offers a wide variety of sandwiches and sides and is the perfect place to go for a low-key lunch with friends. The reasonable prices and quick food delivery time makes Schnitz a convenient stop and an enjoyable experience.
