Humans of FHC: Rachel Nicholson

“In second grade, I won an award for writing a poem. I got $2,500 for it, but my mom made me put it in my savings account. It was about what I would do after college, and I said that I wanted to be an animal veterinarian. Now, I definitely don’t want to be one, but I still love animals. [When I got my dog], I was so excited because I had been asking for a dog for the longest time. My dog, Luna, obviously can’t talk, but she’s got a lot to say. She’s just a good pal. She can be really funny when she walks; she does a sort of gallop. She also barks at balloons and stuff like that. She’s weird, but I love her. Luna always brightens my day.”
