MSU, U of M, and Ohio State Basketball Preview
Michigan Basketball:
After coming off of a pretty decent season, Michigan is losing arguably two of their better players that they have had in the 2000’s. Those players are DJ Wilson and Derrick Walton, they were a huge part of last years team, but no need to fear as Michigan has two transfers coming in: Jaaron Simmons and Charles Matthews. Simmons averaged 15.9 points and 6.5 assists per game and received first team all Mac honors last season for Ohio University. Matthews is a highly rated 4 star who transferred from the powerhouse of Kentucky. Look for this season to be on the backs of big man Moritz Wagner and Charles Matthews.
Probable Starters:
PG Jaaron Simmons
SG Muhammad Ali Abdur Rahkman
SF Jordan Poole
F Charles Matthews
C Moritz Wagner
Notable Games for Wolverines:

Ohio State Basketball
Thad Matta has been released as the Ohio State head coach. He finished with an overall record of 439 – 154 and led Ohio State too many Big Ten Championships along with a run to the national championship. After all of his accomplishments, the Thad Matta era has ended and a new era has begun. The Chris Holtmann era has begun at the university. Holtmann coached at Butler and was very impressive there. His success will translate to Ohio State.

Michigan State: The Spartans came off a difficult season filled with injuries. Ben Carter and Gavin Schilling did not play one game for the Spartans’ last year. They are starting this season ranked 2nd in the coaches poll only behind the Duke Blue Devils.
