The boys swim and dive team swam in the Cereal Bowls Relay against 17 other schools this weekend. FHC fell short to the Ann Arbor Pioneers 382-373, coming out of the meet in second place.
The swimmers were led by co-captains Matt Wilson and Paul Jeong. Matt swam the 4×400 yard Freestyle relay, 4×200 yard Freestyle relay, and the 4×50 yard Breaststroke relay. Matt’s team set a new record in the 4×400 yard relay, beating the previous time by an astounding 1.53 seconds, while taking first place. Paul and Matt were both on the 4×50 yard relay, which placed second. Paul also swam the 4×50 Medley relay. His team was once again just short of first place, as Ann Arbor out touched FHC by less than one second with a time of 1:43.94 to our 1:44.16. The divers were led by junior Ryan Talbot and junior Joe Mish, who both took second on the diving boards.
The boys swim and dive team kicks off its first dual meet next Thursday at East Kentwood High School at 6 pm. They are ready to take home the sweet victory and go on to claim number one in their conference this season.
