Girls varsity ski takes home fourth place at GS and SL races
The girls varsity ski team had a successful run last night at the GS and SL races. After a hard-fought meet, the girls ended up taking home fourth place in both the GS and the SL.
Leading the team was junior Courtney Mcalindon. Courtney placed third in the SL with a beginning run of 34.37 seconds and a run of 33.91 seconds to follow that up. Freshman Abby Mcalindon then took home tenth place in the SL races with a time of 36.8 seconds in the first run and a second run time of 35.89 seconds. Abby also placed third in the GS races with a first run time of 30.85 seconds and a second run time of 30.16 seconds.
Also placing in the top twenty for the Rangers were junior Grace Kline, placing 14th in the GS and 17th in the SL, and senior Cece Long who placed 19th in the GS.
The girls varsity ski team races again next Tuesday, Jan. 23 at Cannonsburg.
